Online In Depth Program
We don’t willingly end what we tell ourselves is “necessary”. So doing, we forever repeat mistakes, remain in bad relationships, bad jobs, and nothing is ever truly fresh and new in our lives.
In our 5-day online workshop, we shall be examining what prevents “dying” to, or ending, inward psychological states and what effect this has on our quality of living.
Without hypothesising, we will be looking together into our thoughts that are mechanically stuck in repetitive patterns. Can we examine in dialogue, without judgement or analysis, active mind sets that forever remain the same. Furthermore, is perception itself condemned to see only what has already been seen or felt in the past – or what will be seen in the future – rather than picking up directly on what is?
Or can we free ourselves? Can this end? This will be our exploration together.
Krishnamurti: “And death of course is the final sorrow. But if you are living, death and life together, then there is no change. You are incarnating every day as fresh, not you, a new thing is incarnating every day afresh. And in that there is great beauty. That is creation. Not merely painting a picture, building a house and architecture, but living with this death and life. And that gives you – in that there is tremendous freedom. And freedom implies also, the root meaning of that word ‘freedom’ is also love. Living, the art of living and the art of dying, together. That brings about great love.”
Daily online sessions: 10:00am-12:30pm PACIFIC TIME
Jackie McInley founded and ran an independent Krishnamurti centre called Open Door in Southern France from 2004 until 2013 – hosting monthly inquiry weekends and annual international gatherings in French and English. She organized an experimental David Bohm bi-monthly dialogue meeting for 4 years in a local market town, and later a Krishnamurti dialogue group in the city of Toulouse.
A former self-employed, foreign language and theatre teacher by profession (schools, higher education and business), she now organises and facilitates inquiry events, gatherings and retreats in a variety of countries and cultures around the world. She also visits, facilitates dialogues and gives talks in the Krishnamurti Foundations, centres & schools in USA, UK and India.
Jackie does not follow any particular spiritual teaching but is deeply interested in the investigative talks & dialogues of J.Krishnamurti as a mirror and friend to her own constant inner inquiry.
