Program Description
This program is a unique opportunity to come together in silence at the Krishnamurti Center in Ojai, CA. The intention of this weekend program is to be a retreat in the deepest sense. It is rare that we have the opportunity to share a space in silence together; to gather together with the intention of minimizing the external distractions of the world to come in touch with the quiet space of our being. We will begin the retreat with some short reading and then refrain from reading, writing, and speaking for the remainder of the weekend.
This program is intended for you to be with yourself—however that looks and feels. We will meet at regular times as a group to share and respect this intention in ourselves and one another. The schedule is made specifically so that we can do away with our need to communicate about our daily engagements while having the opportunity to meet throughout the day and spend time together in silence. Saturday we will begin and end the day sitting during sunrise and sunset.
Facilitator
Leah Luong has a B.A. in Political Science (Global Politics) from California State University, Long Beach. She has been involved in the dissemination of Krishnamurti’s teachings with the KFA after attending a retreat in Ojai. Raised amongst communities of dogmatic institutions and groups, Leah’s interest in questioning the truth from a young age was inevitable.
What to expect
- A retreat from distractions, an opportunity to relax into oneself.
- Space for the discovery of insights or something new.
- Multiple meditations throughout the day ( 1 – 1.5 hours)
- Silent group walk in the hills of Ojai
REMEMBER TO BRING:
- Comfortable, respectful clothing to wear during the day. We will be sitting together a fair amount. Wear clothing you can sit, lay and stretch in.
- Hiking/walking shoes and a light jacket. We will be walking in the hills on a trail behind the Krishnamurti Center. This time of year can get rain, so prepare for the possibility of wet weather. The hike is not strenuous.

If you cancel 15 days or more before the event you will receive a full refund, less a $20 processing fee.
If you cancel 7 days or more before the event you will receive a 50% refund.
If you cancel less than 7 days before the event you will not receive a refund. - If Program is Cancelled:
There is always the possibility that a program may be cancelled. Therefore please make sure to obtain travel insurance for any flight arrangements made. We will notify you at least 2 weeks before the program date should it be cancelled.
